When it rebooted, it was in recovery mode (says its decrypting, then asks for my pw, then a prompt to pick a language, then choices are 'install from internal storage', 'install from ABD', 'wipe data and cache', 'advanced', and 'exit').

Hi folks, I am migrating my things from OP5 to 7T, right now, and for some things I am using the file dash function.

I assume that file dash works on all devices the same, but b/c I experienced it first on the OP5 (testet it on the 7T, eh, too!) , I post it in the OP5 section.

I understand that the other phone needs to know, which phone it is connecting to, so it may not work with my setup name/password for my hotspot.

But is it really necessary, that after using file dash, I have to restore...
About a month ago (around 2 weeks after 9.0.9 was released I think) I noticed there was some lag in getting my messages and I slowly stopped getting alerts for them. I wouldn't know I'd gotten one unless I opened the app to see. But finally they stopped completely.

I went through all of the troubleshooting steps with AT&T before contacting support here. I had already tried factory resetting my phone and that...
I have an already authorised debugging PC and ADB debugging turned on on the phone. I've tried a bunch of commands from stack overflow threads and other things with no luck.
Is there any way to force MTP through adb to recover my data or should I just give up?...
