Are you sure that you put the package with .zip extension into Storage -> Internal Storage? Also if u r still facing problems refer to the pinned...
If u r on Open Beta then Yes u will get successive Open Beta updates via OTA...
Remove the .jar extension from the package & keep it only .zip & do make sure that the package is inside the Internal Storage directory & not inside...

I can't confirm on proper working of Banking Apps coz am not using any Banking Apps on my 7t Pro.
The builds are the same for both the normal & the McLaren edition of the 7t Pro & have always been the same & if u r asking about the few custom UI...
