Actually, I'm pretty sure the G3 will outsell the OPO by many times simply due to the fact that no one knows who OP are.
It's not about the screen size. It's about the phone size. The G3 also has a 5.5" display, but in a more manageable body.
Form factor > Price
If I can't use it with one hand, there's no point.
The Optimus UI on the G2 is actually very inoffensive (to me, it's like a less intrusive and better looking TouchWiz - at least on the S4). And...

Android is much more powerful than iOS is. Also, iOS doesn't support widgets and their homescreen layout is so tested.

I was sceptical of the back buttons as well but after using them, I now prefer rear facing buttons.
Really disappointed with the 801 announcement. Hoping for a miracle and the international version actually comes with an 805.
