as to the camera, not sure. I think it is the same as there is no mention in the update log.
it looks gaps are bigger but i think it's not.
it is just that there are no boundaries between notification and the icons making the spacing huge....
go to Settings, Developer Options, then turn on Advanced reboot.
then press power button for few seconds, reboot then choose recovery.

used it for a day, games, forum, call, browse, stream, photo, all fine with my OP5.
i think, most problems happen when there are 3rd party app...
maybe you can try deleting/clearing cache in the recovery.
i used to apply substratum before but decided to remove it due to messed-up experience. i was traveling at that time when i quickly updated my phone...

Updated mine last night from 100%.
fell asleep while the update process was on-going, and 95% in the morning upon waking up.
my OP5 is fine after 8.1...
my battery is the same with 8.1.
i connected to canada because other countries shows no update. it was thru canada when the update was detected and i am from Phil.
already did it twice but all good.
if you are in doubt, then simply wait for the update notification.
nothing like that for me.
in fact, things seem faster and smoother.
btw, before i updated, i closed all apps, and restarted.
then connected to canada...
it is original. it was released by region but same update.
from Phil and no update notification.
simply download free VPN, choose Canada and check update again, about 700mb.
updated mine last night....
usually they would do factory reset in service center sir. they would ask you to do backup. it would be better to do backup now just in case.
