I'm owning a 5T and it's still a beast. I kinda don't like the fingerprint sensor from the 6T, seems a little bit unusual for me to first light up...
Yeap, gcam is by far the best camera. The post processing does the trick.
This happens on the 5T also. It says downloading, but it starts after a couple of minutes.
Have you tried to clear the data from the phone app? That might do the trick. Never seen this message before.
What's the deal with this latest updates? Almost nothing changed besides the security updates.
Do other fastboot comands work? Like "fastboot devices".
Use a Canada VPN or oxygen updater.
I won't buy their cases anytime soon. I bought 2 for my OP5T and they both started chipping off after 3-4 weeks.
It doesn't necessarily needs to be a hardware problem. For me, it sounds like a software bug.

The beta is 8.1, you can try it. Or a custom rom.
Try a new launcher then. Or clear data of the current one.
