all of a sudden my phone will not let me type more than 100 characters... that's not even tho sentences in single text message. It will not let me go over that character count what so ever. what's the deal? anyway to fix this?

I am having this issue too. I have the 6T with T-Mobile. It just started with the newest update. Please fix this, it's ridiculous! Using the default messaging app as I have been from day 1. No changes made except for the update.

You should learn to get to the point quicker.

I still have the OP Messages app (v4.2.0) installed even though I don't use it. I fired it up and the text compose/entry field has a 1000 character counter on it. I was able to enter far more characters than 100.

Not sure what to suggest beyond clearing the app's cache from Settings. Not sure if clearing data also will erase your message threads, though, so exercise caution.

To confirm, your phone is on TMo OOS 9.0.4, and your OP Messages app version is 4.2.0?

It's normal. You have nothing of interest to say, thus the limit.
