Dang a hoodie, let's gooooo. A higher touch sampling rate makes any display have a higher fps than it actually does, that paired with the 120Hz screen will probably be one of the the best screen we will see this year and it will spoil us to such an extent that going back to any 60Hz, even 90Hz screen will be troublesome. As for the scenarios in which it will improve the user experience is gaming(obviously) and for artists who will be able to work on a drawing with never before seen precision on an android device screen.

There is something about these bigger numbers....they get me excited Every single time and thankfully the higher sampling rate is no exception.
Talking of the sampling rates reminds me of the time when apple spoke about it at the iPhone Xs launch and had everyone confused. :p

I think that with a display that's so smooth a higher sampling rate is a boon. A better touch response would benefit mobile gaming a lot and given the PUBG craze, I'm sure that it would help mobile players get closer to the Chicken dinner ;)
Faster swipes and taps = More kills

Though I'm not a gamer myself, I'm certain that this is definitely a step ahead and I'm eagerly waiting to be surprised. Way to go ;)

The higher touch sampling rate of 240hz is really gonna uplift the current user experience by a big margin.
Mostly the user experience would improve drastically in Gaming and Multimedia editing and enjoyment !
Again, it's gonna be one hell of an experience !!

You know, if you happen to have a surplus of the "old" (current) hoodies, I know someone who might not mind taking one off your hands :cool: I'll give you a hint... su(pe)rplus :p:D

Nope, sorry, couldn't care less. The only scenario I could see it improving my user experience, is if the OS started coming with hidden easter beezzz, where the visualisation of the wings would bee much more fluid with the higher touch sampling rate or scrolling through your collection of uncovered animated beezzz like the cats, remember those?

I could see this making a difference in scrolling mainly, perhaps it would eliminate the "jelly effect". I would be excited to see that. I can also see a higher touch sampling rate making a difference in all interactions with the screen because it would mean a faster response time in apps/games.

I'm probably more excited about the hoodie, but yea higher touch sampling might be great for some games I play (or if OnePlus does a fast tapping game challenge in the future ;) )

I'm all for a super smooth screen but won't the 120Hz + 240Hz touch sampling + 1000 nits peak brightness drain the battery like crazy ? (I honestly don't know what is the impact between 90 Vs 120)
I'll still look into it regardless, great job !

I honestly don't see how touch sampling change ones usage of its smartphone.

That being said, I'm really looking forward for the 1000 nits peak brightness !

(Nice comment on the side chick message haha)

I remember the days when I used to try the custom ROMs just to feel the smooth UI from 'Project Butter'
implemented in google's older version of Android.
I feel that anything smooth will definitely enhance the user experience as long as it does not take a considerable toll on battery life.
I feel that the most underrated area of 120Hz display would with the app drawer. Opening and closing will never be so smooth again.
However choosing between smoothness or battery, its a tough choice. But I would rather prefer longer battery life with lower refresh rate.
