I just expect it to work at displaying my content. Accurate colours and no dead pixels. I also expect it to respond to input commands, i.e. no lag, ghost touches, or missed touches.

    That’s an easy one: A 1440p resolution.

We can all argue that you can’t see the difference between 1080p and 1440p. However, after using the OnePlus 6T -> Pixel 3 XL -> OnePlus 7 Pro, I won’t buy a phone with a 1080p display again.

That’s a deal breaker for me. You can have a punch hole display, a notch, a pop-up windmill or a mermaid taking a photo of my face to unlock the device, I don’t care.

I do care about that AMOLED 1440p tho. Papa needs those sweet ppi's.

Hey there @Cheetosdust was that the last question for the contest?

    There we go.

You want us to say colour accuracy, don't you, don't you?

You know what OnePlus should do with that thing?

Hear me out: send it to a small number of fans - but a really small number, so the others throw a tantrum - so they can watch a OnePlus launch event with it. What can possibly go wrong?:D

I think so, since it's mentioned:

And today is January 22. But this is a @dsmonteiro thread, so he's the best person to answer all your questions. :)

How about captions for this amazing piece is cake that OnePlus has cooked with so much of love, last time it was buttery smooth but that's a past soon...[e]1f609[/e]

Sound output on smartphones has undoubtedly, improved over the years. Stereo speakers are getting better but a bottom firing speaker and the earpiece speaker combined still dont sound Awesome.
I personally want for the display to double up as a speaker. I expect an Acoustic display :D

To me, a display that is durable, tough and can withstand abuse is more desirable than world's most color accurate, high refresh rate display. Give me world's toughest display (doesn't have to be glass) and free me from being wary of breaking or scratching thr display and having to add tempered glasses.

Well, if the launch should happen in space, you should have a safe rocket to bring Carl up there.

Ahaha, and the funny thing is I actually don't really care about colour accuracy! :p

Love that gif every time! Not that I've experienced ghost touches myself but it had to be said :D

the main thing I expect from an oled display is screen burn protection, nothing grinds my gears more than a ghost on my screen.

Definitely high brightness, especially when outside.
A display can be great and all but if I can't use it outside its a deal breaker.
