Just connect phone to pc boot into recovery and sideload any rom you want...if you don't know about sideload just google it.

    (lineage-14.1-20170622-nightly-oneplus2-signed.zip)
1.I downloaded this lineage os from lineage os website.
    2.Then I downloaded Gapps from Gapps website(arm64 - 7.1 - stock)
3.TWRP (3.1.1) was installed following the instructions given by the OnePlus team
4.Then the Lineage os and Gapps were successfully installed .
    Now comes the problem,
The Lineage os boot animation keeps on looping , I left it for 1 hour hoping that the phone starts . But it didn't start.
    (Phone condition :
    *BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED
    *PHONE IS NOT ROOTED)
I tried to install the lineage os several times(no use)
I installed stock recovery and then installed twrp again and tried installing the rom (no use)
    Is rooting my phone necessary????
    Someone please help....

No, rooting isn't necessary but if you're not updating from an earlier version of Lineage 14.1 then wiping is.

In TWRP, wipe system, data and both caches (but not internal storage) and then flash the rom followed by gapps

    Maybe, they're massive.

Try nano and install anything else you need from the Playstore.

Hi everyone. New to the community and android in general. Trying to install custom recovery and running into some issues. Running Android version 6.0.1 and Oxygen OS 3.1.4 whenever I try to oem unlock using adb it just says waiting for device and no matter how many times I reinstall the drivers it doesn't work. Reading through the threads, it seems like the E1005 has issues and that is precisely what I have. Anyone have any luck with this device? Thanks in advance and very sorry if I missed the solution in the threads.

First thing to try is changing usb ports, you also need to be using original cables. If that fails you then I would try disabling driver signature

    Hope it helps

    Hi,

For the first boot after a clean install (with or without superSU) it takes about 20 minutes on the first boot. Just grab a coffee while you wait :)
