OxygenOS 3T issues after upgrading to 5.0.7

  1. OLS_TheWho Froyo Dec 6, 2018

    OLS_TheWho, Dec 6, 2018 :
    Dear OnePlus and Community.

It looks like my OnePlus 3T does not "like" the latest OTA Update to 5.0.7 .

I am facing two problems since the Update got installed:
    1. Mobile Broadband connectivity is weaker than before
Since updating phone calls are getting interrupted more often than before.
The network connectivity seems to be weaker than before.
There is one "blind spot" on the German Autobahn and this caused bad phone quality
    in all previous Firmwares.
After upgrading to 5.0.7, the phone calls are getting disconnected five to six times.

    2. Camera needs much longer to focus
All previous Firmwares showed a good camera speed.
After upgrading, the camera needs several seconds to focus which makes "snapshots" impossible.

    3. Bluetooth connectivity gets interrupted within a call
My Bluetooth Headset gets disconnected without any change within a phone call.
This is a little annoying as having a phone call with your boss should not get interrupted
    from your side.

Might be someone has good ideas to solve the issues.

Reset and reinstall is not a great solution.

    Some phone Details:
    Modell: ONEPLUS A3003
    OxygenOS-Version: 5.0.7
    RAM: 6GB
    Storage: 128GB (31.40 of 122GB used = 26%)
    Android-Version:8.0.0
    Security Patchlevel: November 1st 2018
    Build Number: ONEPLUS A3003_28_181118

    Thank you and "Schönen Nikolaus".

For the first tests it looks good -> camera seems to focus faster.

I have to test this weekend in "live action"

You can also try OP camera versions 2.5.33 ~ 2.5.34(visit APKmirror site to download).

For some reason OP only included camera version 1.5.X in all latest OOS 5.0.X builds, though version 2.5.33 was the latest camera build include with previous Open Beta 30/39 releases.

You may want to give them a try, I'm using version .34 without issues on my 3T running OOS_5.0.7.

    Thank you.

I don't get the point why OnePlus does not update the camera version of there is an updated release available.
From my point of view, keeping the phone as "stock" as possible could bring the best experience.

Well, resetting the camera made it working more less good again.

I was using "eBay Kleinanzeigen" (eBay Fleemarket or so) and the cam hung several times. This might be related to the eBay app itself.

Thank all of you for your support which is highly welcome!

That's version isn't built for the 3/3T, some features may not function properly.

Form what I've read double -tap power button to launch camera doesn't work correctly. photo quality might also suffer being that it's developed for newer OP devices.

I am just facing the double tap thingie.
Reinstalling the official / original version brought it back.

Updating to the latest Camera App brought new "things" which are not available in the original version.

I am able to use the power button to open the camera again.
