I never had issues with OnePlus until the 4.1.7 update. 4.1.7 causes battery drain on all three of my families devices.
We hope a update fix will come out soon!!

i was getting 4.5hrs SOT with the whole of SOT being used with wifi streaming videos on youtube + facebook + messenger + browsing.
after the update dropped to 4hrs or less.

so i factory reset the phone.
will review if this improves the battery.
previous attempts by just clearing cache had not improved any.

one loss from factory reset was google now cards/feed.
i had enabled it by clearing the data from the google app / play services / framework, running vpn and all; now no matter what i do, it says my account does not support feed.
i will miss asking assistant to make my reminders. <sigh>

will update on battery improvement if any.

Agree. More than 1GHz in idle. But nothing suspicious in battery menu

A mi tambien me pasa lo mismo, desde que actualicé a la 4.1.7 el one plus 3 se calienta y me drena la batería.
Esperemos que one plus lanza una actualización que arregle este problema.

MAJOR IMPROVEMENT after Factory Reset for Oneplus 3

    with 4.1.6 I was getting around 4.5hrs
after update to 4.1.7 it degraded to 3.5 to 4hrs

after update 100% to 5% gave me around 5hrs 20min

    usage scenario:
    - screen calibration -sRGB
    - Dark theme
    - Brightness on auto; cranked up while watching videos and as required; usually below 50%.
    - aggressive doze and app hibernation on; but only for those which actually do not need to use background data or need to be active whatsoever. Off for all general apps like fb, messenger, insta, youtube, playstore etc etc
    - wifi always turned on (cellular data off)
    - whenever used, uses for media consumption and social media scrolling, videos mostly.

thank god the factory reset did it for me.

I use fb too much; its a battery hog. So probably can get more than 5.5hrs with moderate use.

Please everybody, clear cache from Recovery.

    Follow these steps:

    Turn phone off
Turn phone on with volume down pressed, stop pressing power but keep volume pressed.
Once in menu, third option is English. With volume button you can go down. Enter with power button.
You see menu options, press wipe cache and data
    New menu
    Wipe cache only
    Reboot.
