Yet still, the 5 GHz AP band doesn't work on OnePlus 5 (Oxygen OS:5.1.4). This sucks. The switch won't turn on.

And my toaster won't make ice cream. I was shocked at first, but slowly I learned to live with it.

Oneplus 2 had that option and it worked. Even with oneplus 5, they wouldn't put it there if it wasn't capable of doing so. Would they?

It's generally not worth the effort. Do you?

It's almost a year since you first complained about this, in a community forum where we have no ability to make any changes to the OP5 codebase. Did you follow up your bug report between then & now, or are you just here to whine a bit more? If you let it run a whole year before following up, it doesn't seem like it can be all that important to you.

You're just wasting my time.... When this was posted doesn't matter, was checking if anyone has figured a way to make it work. Instead I stumbled upon people like you who talk about ice creams, when I need serious thoughts or advice.

Relax. I've faced the same issue many times. That usually happens if you toggle hotspot between off and on a few number of times quickly. Happens with USB tethering as well. I usually reboot. It works most of the times. If it doesn't, I just wait for a while.

Do you guys ever check before making idiotic comments?

This community is filled with more trollers than people who actually give a shit about other's problems.
