Innovation and competing with current designs is money grab?

WTF? No one told you to update every time a new phone comes out. That is some weird psychosis you got there. Do you buy a new receiver everytime the manufacturer releases a new one? A new TV every year? A new desktop computer every 6 months? A new refrigerator and washing machine?

You buy expensive appliances when the old one no longer functions. You seem to have your ego tied to your phone. Get over it. You don't have to have the latest model to feel good about yourself. It's not OnePlus's fault (nor a "moneygrab") to stay current.

Bottom line, you're using total purchasing and brand release schedules to make a purely subjective claim. If one doesn't like how these brands release their model lines along certain time frames, then they should not purchase them. Using that reasoning literally, one would go mad over every release.

Corporations do not care about opinions, they care about profits. Until the time comes when people stop buying into consumerism, people will keep making these corporations money. [e]1f609[/e]

I'm very excited for the OP6. Body, screen, guts are Al upgraded! Water resistant, storage.... The list goes on. This is definitely going to kick the butts of the 5T!

It sounds more like a preference to the user, doesn't it? As an example, if your looking for a camera, the camera keeps getting better.

If you're satisfied with your phone now, that's great too.

You made some fair points here. I have been using the 5 since its launch date and I wasn't pissed when the 5T came because the 5 was still a great phone. Although oneplus should keep a yearly gap when its comes to releasing newer variants. The 6 month policy kind of oneplus 5 playing catch up with the competition but that doesn't mean you should also play the catch up game. That being said, I will probably be getting the 6 since it has some new feature/s that matter (not talking about the notch) to me.

You statement is false. Oneplus only release 5 and 5T between Apr 2017 and Apr 2018. All other major players are releasing more than 2 phones a year. I don't care how many phones a phone company released within a year as long as my purchase is the one I liked. I replace my phone every 2 years.

people who are tech enthusiasts, or who get a adrenaline rush when buying the latest and greatest, are not necessarily stupid or dumb. you can call them so only if they do so by sacrificing more important things in life. but we don't know if that is the case (although it is in quite a good number of cases).
