Just got the 7 Pro this morning, I'm still exploring everything, getting it set how I like it. Loving it so far. The one downside is the battery life, which isn't terrible, but thats an expected trade off for the sheer power and quality of the phone. The screen is incredible and a maassive upgrade from my OP6.

Adding buttons for 1080p and 60hz in the quick menu would go a long way to ease the strain on the battery. I don't really need a 2k display to read a news article. I don't need 90hz to watch 24fps YouTube vids. Being able to toggle these quickly would be a massive, useful and worthwhile update.

    What do you think?

There is already an option in setting under display to change the resolution and the hz of the screen
It gives you option for resolution, either automatic
    1080 or 2k
For speed of the screen it has option of 90hz and 60hz.

Yeah I've seen that and I appreciate that. It's definitely a nice feature. But what I'm saying is it would make sense to have the ability to put those buttons in the pull down menu.
I'm not going to go through 3 screens of settings so I can turn down the 2k for a 720p video. I doubt many people will either.
Adding quick buttons will mean more people will use those settings more often, saving themselves battery life day to day which is one of the few major gripes about the 7 pro.

    Edit: Typos

I'm guessing they will implement it and my self personally would love that. In a way it will be more efficient.

It'll be a lot easier for everyone rather than hunting through menus.

Exactly. Takes far too long for something so fast and smooth.

the automatic option in the said menu already achieves what you want
it already downscale the resolution for content and in scenarios where high resolution/refresh rate is not needed

It's does the screen res automatically. If you turn it on. There is no auto setting for the refresh rate.

Yes, fine it can pick between them in some circumstances, but that is not the same as being able to quickly flick and lock between both options when you need to give yourself a boost in battery life.
It might pick 60hz when its on YouTube, but then as soon as you start reading on the kindle app it goes back to 90hz. All I'm saying is it makes sense to have the option to change them quickly.
