After updating to Android 10, Google Pay stopped functioning. As this has happened before, I checked the play protect certification for my 6T and, well,

I have been able to confirm this affects both international and converted TMobile phones via feedback from others. How was this missed? OnePlus is affecting thousands of people who use Google Pay on a daily basis by forgetting this. Is there a fix for this?

I am running stock OxygenOS on the stable version of Android 10.

    My device is not rooted.

I downloaded the update via OTA.

I am having the same problem, I thought it might be typical til google certified it. I am running android 10 on converted 6t with locked bootloader. which was certified on 9.0.17 before i loaded 10

This is a known bug that is affecting a number of devices including Pixel 4, not just OnePlus. Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.

Not based on the numerous reports of the update breaking certification and you're saying a pixel phone was released not certified? That doesn't seem likely. No one seems to have any answers as to why a locked bootloader, non rooted, update to stable Android 10 would break the phones certification

I actually read the information on reddit. I just cannot find the link.

It's all good, though. I honestly don't expect you to believe me. All I know is that I've searched online for hours regarding how to resolve this issue and nothing suggested has worked yet. I only came across many others with the same issue.

So the build of Android has to have a signature in it for Google play to say it is certified. Most betas don't have that, now if this is stable then it just looks like Google may be slacking on certifying the os build.

Having the same problem, running the A6013_34_191027 Stable update on my converted T-Mobile 6T.

I'm curious if this is isolated to converted T-Mobile devices. Can anyone confirm having this issue on an international 6T, or are these all converted T-Mobile devices?

I believe they are all from tmo converts. the only way I can think of to fix it without root is to roll back to pie via msmtool

msmtool does NOT work for rolling back a tmo convert to pie

My understanding is that you can only use msmtool to flash the 9.0.11 build. You would have to flash back to that version, then upgrade to the current Pie build via OTA.
