Out of the blue today, my non-rooted 6T powered itself down. I had to turn it back on a couple of times. The last time I turned it on, it couldn't detect a SIM card nor could it connect to WiFi. It was just sitting on my desk when all this happened, so it isn't do to rough use. I rebooted a couple of times, then resorted to a factory reset, but nothing worked. So here I am phoneless, waiting for tech support to return my call.

Has anybody else experienced this and more importantly, been able to resolve it?

Check if the aeroplane mode is turned on.

if not check if the SIM cards or network are turned off.

Check if there are multiple users and you are using another account

All that was checked. Tech support tried rooting and resinstalling Oxygen OS, but that didn't work either. Was instructed to send it in for repairs, which I did.

OnePlus support was fantastic. They emailed me a Fedex label to overnight it to their support center (run by Acer), replaced the motherboard the next day, then overnighted it back to me. I hate that the phone stopped working in the first place, but I cannot complain about the support.
