6T T-Mobile Wifi Calling Notification

The permanent WiFi notification that cannot be removed from the notifications menu is ridiculous. There is no way to dismiss or disable it (only when WiFi calling is disabled). I much prefer the VoWifi icon the OP5 had. Please rectify this in a future update.

T-Mobile variant or unlocked, dual-SIM from OP?

I have the latter and I'm on T-Mobile's network w/Wi-Fi calling enabled (by default). I do NOT experience the same notification you've got.

It is the T-mo variant. I suspect it's an isolated problem specific to the T-mo version. Doesn't help that the phone is still running the out-of-the-box version of Oxygen (no OTA updates for T-mo version yet).

That sux, but it's kinda what I expected, plus my OP5 had a tiny nick on the display, which rendered it an unacceptable trade-in, anyway. After the deal ends (it has, already, yeah?) there will next to no reason to buy the T-Mobile variant.

Hang in there, it'll catch up.

Exactly. I took advantage of the trade-in on the last day, and got the last 6T in stock at the store. Otherwise I would've certainly just bought direct from OnePlus.

Interestingly the store said they had more interest and sold more 6Ts than the latest iPhone launch.

That's a T-Mobile network thing. It happens on all wifi calling capable phones. It can't be disabled. Same thing happened on my LG V30 and S8 from T-Mobile. Sucks but it sounds incredible!

This is specific to the T-Mobile software version. One of the many reasons why I returned the T-Mobile one and bought direct from OnePlus. It can be made smaller but will not go away. The attached screenshot is of the OnePlus model.

I did the same. my biggest issues (maybe small for others) was the update delay and that annoying notification. Also I prefer the OP boot animation.

Just picked up my 6T from TMo last night. This is not a perfect solution, but it's a heck of a lot better than out of the box. Thanks for the tip!!
