I use Consumer Cellular, which is an MVNO on the AT&T network. The AT&T website has a chart listing phones that will continue to work on their system after the 3G shutdown in February, 2022:
    https://www.att.com/idpassets/images/support/wireless/Devices-Working-on-ATT-Network.pdf

The OnePlus 7T model HD1905 is listed, however, the model for my phone is HD1907 which I purchased unlocked from B&H Photo.

Currently, the VoLTE icon is showing in the status bar, so clearly 4G is operating.

If only 3G is shutting down, is there any reason my 7T would stop working?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, the only answer so far doesn't answer the question. I was hoping for a technical answer about the 4G capabilities of the HD1907 vs HD1905: In other words, are the electronics different in the two models or is it just a software variation for different carriers?

Also, getting decent tech help from AT&T, when you are an actual customer, is hard enough; using their service through an MVNO will probably get the brush-off "You need to contact YOUR carrier with questions". Of course, my contact with Consumer Cellular just results in them referring to the info in the chart from AT&T, which may or may not be accurate.

SO, THE QUESTION STILL STANDS: Does anybody have technical info on the 4G hardware in the 7T models HD1907 and HD1905 and any differences that would interfere with the continued operation of the HD1907 after the 3G shutdown on the AT&T network.

    Thanks.

I'm in the same situation. Purchased model 1907 from B&H. Using on Cricket wireless (At&T)..On Cricket wireless website it says for owners with model 1905 to update to latest version. I know we don't have 1905 but was wondering if an update for ours would help. Maybe this list was produced before OnePlus offered a software version for ours? Or maybe our version 1907 is a exclusive model for B&H?

I will throw this out there, FWIW.

I believe the HD1907 initially was a T-Mobile carrier locked handset. It was designed for 4G LTE, and runs 3G as reverse compatibility.

Buying it from 3rd party as an unlocked unit allowed it to run on AT&T network as well.

Now, the crux of the issue: are you running on the 3G network, or LTE. If the AT&T LTE bands are listed in the bands supported, I would believe you have no problem.

But that's just me thinking before I finish my first cup of coffee..😉

I have a 1905 and my wife has a 1907. I just got back from the AT&T store and according to them, the 1907 was made for t-mobile and works fine as a 4G phone on their network, but when used with AT&T it's actually using 3G. She said it's missing HD voice, which AT&T requires for 4G.

Sounds like a software issue. It was sold as unlocked, but apparently we were all lied to by B&H.

I have an unlocked 7T (HD1907) with International software. I swapped my wife's sim card into the OnePlus 7T and then put my SIM back in ant it showed VOLTE. On my ATT account it shows my OnePlus as a iPhone 8 (my wife's phone). We will see if it works in March 2022. In the meantime ATT sent me a "free" replacement phone that I have not activated but keep with me in case ATT decides to inactivate my OnePlus.

LG K40... Hopefully never to be used. I stalled the auto activation by telling them I was traveling and could not physically get at the phone so they agreed to delay activation. They also said I could use my old SIM card if I wanted to as opposed to using the sim card they sent me with the K40.
