    bjoernt78 , Jul 31, 2021 :
I allowed OEM unlock inside the 8T from T-Mobile but in fastboot mode I get an error:

Has anyone got the bootloader to unlock ? I tried different Android Bootloader drivers and fastboot versions etc.

Yes that was what I was originally trying to do but as I can't unlock the boot loader with fastboot I get a "Download is not allowed on locked devices" even if I allow oem unlock from the developer options. Then I tried MSM Tool via EDL mode that gets me into a DDR error so I can't flash it that way either. I seem right now stuck until I find a way to unlock the bootloader via fastboot

In the developer options, have you switched on both of the areas shown, or just OEM unlock?

Might help......but no guarantees. Also I'm presuming you know to allow debugging option.

Correct I have oem unlock enabled but even any command to unlock ends into command failed.
Followed the latest unlock guide as above and still the same. It feels TMO locked that device down

and the state is still locked:

Supposedly but the drivers I saw still mention a rather old date: DriverVer = 08/28/2014,11.0.0000.00000
which is odd. It should be version 13 off the android SDK

I think I saw a few articles on the XDA forum.....there are a plethora of drivers. The truth of the matter is, there are not many on this forum who do this any more, and few who can advise well.

I know someone who might be able to help a bit. @Praty_28, can you help this gentleman?

T-Mobile devices have a different method for unlocking the bootloader. You are supposed to get an unlock code right which takes 7 days?

I'm sure I went through this error while reading through the unbrick tool xda thread and someone had also posted a solution. I'll try to find it for you.

I found 2 probable solutions posted by users facing the same ddr error, you can try any of these and check if it works.

Also, make sure you install this driver and restart your pc, it will help the unbrick tool detect your device. My device wasn't getting detected even tho I tried every single port on my pc. Finally after installing this driver, hitting start on the unbrick tool and using the power plus both volume button combination until black screen, the unbrick process started.
