My oneplus 8T is stuck at the 120 hrtz refresh rate and it does change back to 60 hrtz even after I changes the settings.

Is this a new bug? Because I recently got an update and am wondering whether this was a big caused by the update.

So it is constantly at 120Hz in all apps?

    Yes.

But now it corrected itself. Now it is running in the proper 60 hrtz. But I just noticed that it is always 120hrtz in the lockscreen, is that normal?

Even when you set to 60Hz, it is at 120 at the lock screen?
What are you using to measure this?

Yes, even when I set it to 60 hrtz. It is running at 120 hrtz in lockscreen.

As for how I know, just bringing that quick settings down the animation is clearly smoother than a 60 hrtz. And the app i am using to see the frequency doesn't show the frequency in lockscreen, but when I unlock the phone, the frequency counter shows 120 for a second and then it goes to 60 hrtz.

Usually, the Lock Screen stays unaffected by all the display settings. Color tone, monochrome mode, night mode, and seemingly the refresh rate settings, don't apply to the Lock Screen. If I remember correctly, this is done due to the fingerprint reader being a special little snowflake that needs its tested environment to work as good as possible.

    I
I did not know that. And with the frequency counter i checked with all the situation other than the lockscreen where the fingerprint sensor is used, like app lock and found that yes, the screen switches to 120 whenever fingerprint is needed.

You can also force enable current refresh rate to be visible by enabling the show refresh rate option in developer settings

I knew about that, but did not want to ennable developers option because one of my apps won't open if I had developers option enabled.
