    seriously, thats how it should be done, IIRC when i got my OPO, i got it from the add to cart. i just logged on, saw that email address, mailed that guy, and he made a new amazon id and added the phone. i felt the invite system was pretty small thing to deal with, but with this OPT, its just frustrating.
    you just give the invite to your friends family or anyone on the forum asking for it and not play with it. the problem is, we cant do anything about it. just have to deal with it for the sake of them invites.

    No there is a guide but looks like no invite. The thread should have been named as A Guide to Share Invites When You Have them ;P

    @ajayrajit Why don't we have the shareable invite thread which we had during the One? No unnecessary extra threads where one invite to be shared is asked by hundreds.

    Obtaining an Invite
    OnePlus and Amazon.in currently send out invites on the following basis:


    1. Holding contests on its website and choosing winners
    2. Running a newsletter with limited subscription - random subscribers will be sent invites
    3. Running marketing and engagement events on the OnePlus Facebook, GooglePlus, Twitter and internal forums


    Note: Only select participants or subscribers will be chosen for an invite, which will be totally at the discretion of OnePlus or Amazon.in.

    Apart from the above, customers who purchase the OnePlus will also receive invites that they can share with friends and family. These are distributed typically between 3-6 weeks after the purchase based on availability.

    Placing an Order
    There are two steps to placing an order once you receive an invite:

    Step 1: Claiming an invite - Once you receive an invite, you will need to claim it on the OnePlus website.

    To claim -


    1. Click on the link in the email. This will redirect you to the OnePlus website
    2. Create an OnePlus account or login to your existing OnePlus Account.
    3. Click on the CLAIM button to activate your invite.
    Step 2: Ordering - once you claim the Invite Code on the OnePlus website, it is active. You can then use the same code to complete your purchase on the Amazon.in website (as long as it is valid).

    To place an order -


    1. Go to amazon.in/oneplus
    2. Sign in and enter your invite code.
    3. Add the item to cart and checkout.
    If you have just claimed it and you receive an error, please wait a few minutes for the status to be updated on Amazon.in and try again.

    These contests and forums are good for people who got invite participating in them. But, i do not blame OP team for all this coz it is good for the demand and supply for OP2. Like other mobiles, they get sold in few seconds and ppl who are not online, do not get a chance to order.
