No mate I've removed all builds with OnePlus, not spending a single second on the brand any further due to all this. I'm not gonna spend time on OP when they can't even release the code like every other device they have.

I might do, my Mrs has just got the pixel 4 standard size so her device may become a guinea pig lol.

Got my works device 7t pro (got 5 of them on business plan but think we're sending those back too, just too buggy) just waiting on EE clearing they got device back before I think about my next device, stuck between note 10 and the pixel XL myself. Mrs pixel just fly's through things, think with a few more bug updates it'll be a beast of a device on the XL.

    are you mad bro?

only doing it to cover their own @rse...

nothing late about it the devices have been bought, used and sent back...it's completely missed not late.

whole motto is "Never Settle" unless is for 5G owners which have got to settle for no updates, no communication and sh1t service while bloody paying for the dam thing.

in this case it's never better than late for OnePlus reputation to go down the drain.

    @Pete

I would consider replacing @Manu J. out of all the useless toss pots in the community he's the head poncho.

even remember him stating there would be a release at the end of September... lol

guy consistently lies or tells the porkies to shut the consumers up until that timeframe has lapsed, then it's like "mee no knooo" with the guy.

have a look out at your mods as well, they've been removing 5G threads to keep the problem down as low as possible, who's idea was that?

means your screwed like a lot of us were, I'd advise to send the device back if you can or sell it on and get another.

Honestly I'm not that upset about not having the update yet seeing all the issues that the 7 & 6 series seem to be having even with a supposed stable version out. I'm more pissed off at the lack of communication for the past couple months about the 5G in general.

Oh this thread is beautiful, brings back memories... I think I'm gonna cry.
I am being nice... Cause i don't have a 7 pro 5G, but I'm wondering what would @dsmonteiro do if he had one.

It's definitely been the biggest problem out of the whole fiasco, communication is key with people who just forked out cash for there 5G device.

I could have went months without the update, but I would've needed a detailed explanation as to why it's been so long... even till this date nothing has been explained as to why it's so difficult or different to implement.

Google made the whole process easier to integrate newer android versions, even Samsung who is known for there overdue updates is Infront of the OP 5G range.

They haven't even released the code to develop, which just to me seems a bit suspicious and feel there hiding something within there 5G OS.

Actually I have a 6T and am still waiting for my Android 10 update in UK. also I wouldn't be bothered about waiting for this update if it weren't for the fact that part of OnePlus's USP (Unique selling points) is that it was meant to be a non Google phone that recieves it's updates just as fast as one. I think this has happened for 2 reasons ( I'm talking mostly for the 6T but maybe this goes for all OnePlus phones) firstly OnePlus is knocking out a lot more phones at a quicker pace and all of them are slightly different so the boss rele I'm sure is focusing on the newest first and going backwards. lastly maybe Google is pulling some strings to make sure no one else recieves the updates before its own branded phone.

Google is pushing for everyone to release the newest version of Android they do. there's no benefit for them to keep devices less secure on older versions, they've been putting a tonne of R&D into making it seamless as possible for other manufacturers.

but OP have definitely put a gear up on newer devices, there's like 6ish devices released this year all with tiny differences.

    7
    7 Pro
    7 Pro 5G
    7T
    7T Pro
    7T Pro McLaren

not including memory/storage different models if any, there all not that different.

My opinion they should only released 3 this year, and it's all the 7T series. Just far too much to choose from for small differences they look like apple, except no ”bargain" device.

5G should've never been sold to anyone, released or even advertised as ready.

@Pete other manufacturers seem to be doing fine with their 5G offerings. Being behind Samsung on updates is quite an achievement. With the recent sightings of the OnePlus 8 with 5G branding it looks as though there's going to be a lot more disappointed customers in the not too distant future, if the lack of 5G updates aren't resolved.

The worst thing about all of this, besides the shoddy communication, is that EE do not stock an LTE model. Please, arrange EE to be shipped a stock of LTE model 7 Pros so that we, at the very least, have the option to switch in light of this delay. I live out in the country so I don't even need a 5G device, but my hands were tied. I bought in to the company's message and branding, and the phone is actually amazing, but all I've had with my first OP experience is disappointment and a bitter taste in my mouth.

    this is BS
Samsung have got a 10 BETA already for 5g samsung phones.
they used to be the worst for updates and now have a update minimum 3 months before OP or maximum 6 months before!
