Hi friends,
As you know, we launched our latest flagship – the OnePlus 8T – with OxygenOS 11 out of the box. Shortly before, we also introduced the freshest flavor of our signature OS to the OnePlus 8 Series. OxygenOS 11, based on Android 11, is designed to provide a better user experience for a larger and more diverse audience. We’re glad to see that more and more of you have grown very fond of it, which is clear by the increasing number of you asking about when this new update will reach other devices.
Apart from building great products, we believe it is equally important to offer the latest experience to all our eligible devices within the maintenance period – in this case, the OnePlus 6 and later models. So, we’ve been working really hard to make it happen.
Next week, the
OnePlus Nord will receive its first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta build. As for the stable release, we’ll collect your feedback from the Open Beta, tune the software build accordingly until it meets our standards, and then conduct staged rollouts.
We know our
OnePlus 7 and 7T series users are also eager to have a taste of the latest flavor of Android. We have been working in parallel to release OxygenOS 11 to all these devices at the same time. As you may have heard, when porting Android 11 to the 7 and 7T series, we encountered a data decryption issue in these devices. We worked closely with Qualcomm and, with their support, we are already running a Closed Beta test. We expect to release the first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series shortly after.
Please note that the above schedule may vary for models purchased from our carrier partners, including Verizon, T-Mobile, EE, and others. Yet, we’ll work closely with them to deliver the best OxygenOS 11 experience for you at the earliest possible date, so stay tuned for the official announcement for the actual release.
For users owning
OnePlus 6/6T and
Nord 10 5G/100, we’ll keep you posted on more details later.
Hope you’re as excited as us for the incoming updates and look forward to hearing your thoughts on the OxygenOS 11 experience. Fresh into 2021, I'd like to personally wish an amazing year to all of you.
