    hi

I am suggesting the one plus team to add black and white mode in camera in both front and back. as it will give edgy and classy pictures

why no. when people use filter and other apps to make a colourful photo to black and white to give it more meaning to the photo then it is ok.

I agree, black and white shots without going through software would be the best

It's been 3 years since this post was made. If they didn't implement it now. I don't think they ever will.

Plus, adding black and white to an image in the gallery app is like 3 clicks....

Hi there, what do you mean "without going through software"? A filter will still be accomplished through software.

In any case, this is already present in OnePlus devices.

    avoid 3 clicks
take the photo directly in black and white
7t pro does not have this option

But what if you afterwards realize that picture might have benefited from colour?

Colour is something easy to remove, but impossible to add.

Was always my mentality when using my camera, it has all these fancy modes for shooting with and filters to apply. But I'd much rather add them in post, so I have both the original as the "artistic" rendition of it.

What just happened to analogue photography, where you had to make the decision before even buying a film roll. Shooting pictures, bring them to the phot shop to get them developed, waiting in anxienty for a week for them to be ready and find out just 2 out of 24 we're somewhat clear. :p

    Oh, the good oll' days

Even then, you'd use color film and make them grayscale later on in development....

Nèh, never as good as black and white rolls.

Or like my very first camera, polaroid, black and white only.

Flash light bulb that could be used once, had to pull the picture out, leave it for, I think it was 30 sec and pull the back paper. :p
