    Heey Guys,

I may want to add some more RAM to my macbook.
    I've 2x 2GB right now and I want to spend €80 - €100. ( $100-$125)
What's the max. I can get out of it?

And do I need 4GB/4GB or can I also do this 2GB/8GB, or do they need to be the same?

And where should I buy my RAM?

    Thx:)

They don't need to be the same but it's a slightly little bit faster (maybe you won't feel at all), so 8+2 is ok ;)

That's why we are in the Off-Topic section -____-

I know just wondered if you would be easier to find an answer in a apple or Mac forum that's all

No, I like this forum a lot! ;)
And the answer I'll get on original company forums is 'search here > here > here' they don't give an answer

I think it's only noticeable in Benchmarks. Didn't notice any difference when I had a similar config (Using Adobe programs, blender etc) ;)

. at ocw yes but get the same ram. It'll run faster. Ocw made a mistake they sent me 8gb instead of two 4gb. I just never returned it.
Also look into the data doubler. I'm running ssd in the main bay and an HDD in the optical bay boot up time is less then 20 secs on a 2011 macbook pro 13 inch

Are adobe programmes having a problem with Mac OS or you are manipulating 4k in Premiere and exporting it while rendering 3 50mpx images in Photoshop?

Phone wise yes. But half of the people browersing the forums are probably on a Mac. They make good workstations. Dont get me wrong they are disadvantages too. That's why I own a PC too but that's for gaming. I own a macbook to edit photos and write papers.

I've upgraded mine to 8 GB recently and it has changed a lot :) (also upgraded to an SSD a year ago)

Bought my RAM from Crucial's website with free shipping. They even have a wizard to help you find compatible RAM for your model :)
