hello i have an app called adguard which is basically an ad blocker/malware defender. now when it is enabled it'll work until it shuts down randomly itself. i have tried:- battery optimization toggle, locking the app, disabling deep optimization yet the issue occurs. online people have said its a oneplus issue/android issue.
i have VIPER4ANDROID installed and that works perfectly. yes i am rooted and i am on stock rom but custom kernel.

    thanks.

Samsung Health also acts this way in this phone. Sent logs multiple times to the devs, no one responded. So, gave up and leaned the lesson to never buy a op phone again.

As I understand, the app is being killed constantly, right?
Try to lock it in a Recents menu. It prevents the phone from killing the app.

i guess it ain't a priority for them since only few people have ad guard

Nothing is a priority after a phone is about a quarter old.

So you should consider switching to the custom ROM or downgrading to the Oreo. Pie is just broken.

really pie is broken? i don't have any other issue except this. also i have tried many custom roms but honestly nothing beats oxygen os. the only reason i rooted was to install viper4android.

my only complaint with oxygen os is they should implement another dark mode which follows googles guidelines instead of being all black.
and of course having a system wide equaliser with similar capabilities to V4A but i understand that's never gonna happen.

It is broken in terms of background processes management. It just kills them . Perhaps it's related with adaptive battery mechanisms, but disabling them isn't really improving things.

you've just given me an idea. V4A would get killed off until i moved the apk to system side. maybe if i move the adguard apk to priv-system it wont kill it off...
