    Why are there random Google ads popping up on my phone after the Oreo update?! And can I stop them?!

    It's a third party app, yes. Uninstall all pirated apps if you use any, or try to find out which app is likely to display ads on your phone

    Correlation is not the same as causation. You might have ads on your phone but it's not the Oreo update that's causing them.

    If there's an ad, long press on the notification and you can disable the notification there or see the app that's sending the notification.
