after updating to 7.1.1 suddenly i noticed tht this update

    after updating to 7.1.1 suddenly i noticed tht this update have used 3.5 GB of data from my main Storage....I don't think it's supposed to be happen we only hv 53.7 GB out of 64 GB nd all of this updates are also eating out data do something....thank you

    Already many threads about this, so if you want to know more, please use the search function of the forum.

    The folder "others" takes a lot of GB. You can delete the folder to free up the space again.

    its just apps and other crap that take up data, and the data other than the 53GB is used by the os, and some is gone since they probably calculated the 64GB with 64000MB and the os calculates 1024MB in a GB

    Every OEM calculates with 1000 and not 1024, cause it is... well, easier. So 64000000000 bytes /1024/1024/1024 = 59.3 GB usable memory, with around 6 GB reserved.

    dude after updating to 7.1.1 I also hard reset my phone after that also it's showing the same thing....others folder is consuming 3.5 GB of data and there is nothing to delete it's a bug please fix this
