Okay, it seems you erased it literally, sorry for that.
You may want to check this site for info and understanding, but it won't bring your data back.
    http://forums.androidcentral.com/an...n/347739-confused-about-internal-storage.html

I hope your loss is not irreplaceable!?
My suggestion is then to perform a factory reset to bring it back to the original state:

    https://oneplus.net/nl/support/answer/how-do-i-perform-a-full-factory-reset

If you have G+, your address book will be backed up on their servers.

I can only suggest Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional I have used it in work to recover people's list files on their pendrives.. Good luck and always. Remember to have an up to date backup. It is really easy with cloud thesedays i even host my own owncloud server so it stays on my local network

@zubair_amgaz After deleting said folder, is your phone operating normally? Did you lose just your own created and downloaded content or has the phone wound up losing critical system files as well?

Also, I should have clarified something - malware and viruses (...virii?...) are not the same thing. Most typical antivirus software (such as Kaspersky) will not prevent malware from damaging your system. If you didn't have your stuff backed up, it's not the end of the world - and as for your software not being able to detect the deleted files, you could try a different program. Not all data recovery tools can recover from flash storage. Some are optimized specifically for hard disk drives. Make sure the one you're using is capable of recovering from flash based storage.

To make sure your phone is connected correctly, go to Settings -> Storage -> (Click the three-dot menu button) USB computer connection -> Connect As... Media device (MTP)... Make sure this box is checked before proceeding.

If you do see the files available for recovery, make sure you do not recover them back into the phone - recover to PC first, make sure they're not corrupt, then push back into your phone when everything's settled.

Edit: Remember - flash memory is volatile - I have lost count of how many times I've lost data due to corrupt CF cards and SD cards. Don't run scans repeatedly if you don't find things the first time around - you might damage the flash memory in the phone itself.

If you aren't too paranoid about where your files are backed up, I suggest using some kind of cloud-based backup (like Google Drive/Dropbox/OneDrive/etc. for your photos and documents to prevent such losses in the future. If you're planning on backing up to your own PC, try using AirDroid (my personal favorite.) or a similar app.

Also, you might consider using a custom recovery to back up the ROM itself (you'll thank me for this if you ever get a bootloop) and a good backup program for your apps, like Titanium backup or Helium.

    P.S.

@DaxNagtegaal Any advice for this poor soul?

Sorry to hear that dude. But yeah, data's just data... We've all had such experiences at some point or other. Sometimes this is the push we need to remember to keep backups of our stuff. ;)

    short answer is:

If you can't connect the phone to the PC and it be seen by the PC, then you're out of luck.

If you can indeed connect to the PC and it is mounted and seen, then you have some glimps of hope.

    Freeware Recovery tools:

    Recuva
    or
    PC INSPECTOR

There are much better tools out there but they're not free. So these will have to do. Of course there's no guarantee if anything will be recovered let alone be usable without issue, but it's your best bet to try and recover something. I've used the 'better' tools on a old sgs2 to recover pics/videos when the memory card was accidentally formatted instead of internal storage and worked a treat. EDIT: or the other way around?!? can't remember.

there was also diskdigger (specialised in flash memory) when it was free but is no longer.

Probably you deleted folder 0 or legacy. Put a fck on it, don't bother with file recovery programs because you won't recover anything. If you have made full backup in twrp try restoring that otherwise start recreating the files you have deleted (music, video, porn etc).

i have a paid recovery tool. very good one. but all the recovery tools m using can read mass storage. since once plus dont have removable storage... its only getting connected in MTP mode. which is not favoured my most recovery tools
