    And it isn't Oneplus' fault people started early. It was their lack of following instructions. They stated 100 people will be chosen, and its also a little obvious that when you click the "Smash the Past" picture on the homepage that there is a countdown that has yet to end for it...

    Although it may be a great PR stunt, this is very irresponsible of the company. OnePlus is clearly not environmentally conscious or friendly.

    As we have seen already some very stupid people have been smashing perfectly good phones such as the HTC One without even having an invite to the smashing event. I hope they don't go ahead with this & move onto something else.

    Obviously they are not!
    They don't really care about users.
    They already lost a lot of possible customers, NOT REALLY GOOD FOR A STARTUP!
    This company needs every single customer but they treat us like idiots.

    A dumb contest, with even dumber people participating before it starts.

    Any negative PR is justified, lets just hope there are no exploding batteries and shards of glass flying into people's eyes. :eek:

    Reward stupidity and you only get more of it...

    That's a great idea. Nobody is stopping you from doing so. Have at it. There is no requirement to enter the smash promotion. That's only for 100 phones.

    I don't think that the problem is the "blaming" but maybe the approach.
    Is in my opinion a better way of changing device and also a better PR startegy.
