Sorry, I'm no current OnePlus owner (but I plan on saving for the OP8 5G) but as an OLED screen shouldn't the 6T have this feature since Day 1 ? I mean, Samsung & Pixel phones (+others) have it.

Am truly surprised the 6T never had it before. Not even as an OTA update.

If not an AOD per se, but any alternative to the led notification would be fine.

I love AOD but I haven't seen anyone do it as good as Motorola did on the Moto X. You can actually interact with the AID notifications without unlocking the phone. I can assume that that hasn't been done due to tighter security restrictions. Would be awesome.

Just seeing I have a notification doesn't do much for me if I can't read it or better yet interact imwith it from the lock screen

Had a good experience with Moto display on my Moto g4 plus. That was a really useful feature.

I will never buy another OnePlus phone until you add an AOD. At least give us the option. We can toggle it off if we want more battery.

I know always on display is most important feature but also consider the battery backup also
U won't look at the mobile all the day
If u just tap on the screen it will give a glimse of the screen and saves battery life too
"Tap to wake up" this feature is almost similar to AOD

Google Pixel with always on display has almost zero extra battery drain.
Also, OnePlus aims to provide us a stock Android experience. So even Pixel has this feature why doesn't OnePlus have ?

ya I agree with ur point
but I can't agree with zero battery drain because my previous mobile is samsung s9 and I can see the change when it is switched on and off
not only pixel everyone has to write the same code for AOD including OnePlus and samsung
end of the day we are all android users.....[e]263a[/e]️

    They don't need to write.
Google's software code, which provides to manufacturers at the first place, already has Always on Display INCLUDED.

I use a third-party app for notifications. Works quite good. Hope this helps until they make improvements on AOD.

Such a basic feature they can't even give their users. I'm expecting to see it after all these requests.

Personally i don't mind the lack of AOD. Been using the Huawei Mate 9 for the past 3 years (gonna buy the OP8 5G once released) & the Mate's screen has an LCD display (so no AOD for sure) Had it on my old (rooted) galaxy Note 3 running the Infernus Note 7 ROM & i could easily live without it.

Still! not a big deal (again, my opinion)
