Am I the last one?

Am I the last person on earth still using an OnePlus One as the main smartphone?

I purchased this phone in 2014 and, since then, I've been using my OnePlus One (Bacon A0001) as my main smartphone.

My poor and beloved companion has been rooted several times, the battery died every two years or so, several screen protectors have been sacrificed, the volume buttons are just holes, the back cover is completely broken, LineageOS 17.1 throttles and attempts to suicide every day... but I'm still standing.

How ironic, I've been settled almost 7 years by the company that sold me the "never settle" phone. I've changed my residence more times than my cellular.

Every time OnePlus released a new phone, I wondered how life would be if I decided to upgrade my bacon, but then, why change? The prices of new devices kept rising, and she (my OneplusOne) was still working!

But, my friends, I think the end is near.

My bacon cannot endure the vicissitudes of life anymore. I hear her screaming every time I unlock the screen, begging for mercy. She has traveled around the world, have seen (and photographed) many beautiful places, and has totally outlived my expectations. I couldn't have asked more for just 300€ (yes, this was her price back on the day!)

I only hope my OnePlus One will resist a few more weeks until the OnePlus 9 arrives.

    Maybe. Enjoy it
For me the good old OPO is now a good camera gadget.

I was thinking the same! :D

@MarcLlopRo, any chance you can add some pictures to color the thread? It's a great read indeed, but a few pictures would take it to the next level.

Funny enough, I have the OnePlus One lying in my desk. I rooted it a few weeks ago so I could export my 2-FA codes from Authy, the app I used to use for 2-factor authentication.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this post would get such positive reception  I just wrote it as a last memento or ode before the OPO dies.
TY for all the likes & everyone who took the time to read it :)

I don't have any other phone (yet), but tomorrow I'll try to take the pictures tomorrow with my wife's phone (a Huawei, such a traitor!)... if I can pass beyond the fingerprint, lol.

I still have mine in a drawer, but it's not an actively used phone anymore... Was thinking about letting my son use it to play games. I might still keep it for the museum.:cool:

Just yesterday i cracked the case near the power button while i pressed the button.
    Looks like a material degradation.

The OPO is still functional on original battery.
Yeah the performance is low when comparing to 8T.
On the other side the success rate of taking a good photo is higher on the OPO. I'm still searching where is the problem.
