What would be the difference in the battery performance between using 4G and 5G considering an ideal scenario? What optimizations were done from the OS and modem perspective to accomodate the change?

This is not only about the software change, hardware is required, so older devices can't support new technology.

In India, there is currently no 5G infrastructure and telcos won't be upgrading their networks to 5G anytime soon. So why can't there be 4G LTE variants in OnePlus 8 series inorder to reduce cost.

    Hi @Sat K and @Ignacio Contreras

My question to you both is how does the OS (android) and Chipset (Qualcomm) collaborate for the 5G? What were the challenges you faced when working for 5G together?

Hi and my question is for @Ignacio Contreras. Before times even 4G and 3G itself are a high level of threat to birds. How does 5G differs from this? Is 5G safe to the environment ?? 4G rates in India is worse to people and mostly middle class people can't afford this. What difference should 5G make to the environment as well as for people??

@Ignacio Contreras With the expected increase in IoT applications after 5G roll out, What are the innovations that need to be made to improve the power consumption of IoT chipsets ?
Do we have sufficient backend network infrastructure to support 5G speeds after wide public roll-out ? What innovations are expected to reduce the cost of improving existing network infrastructure ?

I'm sorry, but how are those questions related to the 5G?

The easiest solution would be to have an access point. It would receive 5G signal at your window and then be connected to your wired network or offering WiFi.

    hi,
I am currently using 5G phone. but the battery was an issue while using 5g the battery was drawing pretty fast. So i decided to use 4g instead because for me battery backup was more important than speed of the network.
