5g network is a hardware based technology
    cannot launch a software update
it's the same thing that happened when you had a 3g network and they launched the 4g network

@Sat K With VoLTE and VoWiFi there are still problems with operator settings, now with 5G networks it is starting to be the same.
It would be great if Google centralized this and included the settings of all the operators in Android, that way it would end the white lists that only hide commercial interests. This would be possible?

This should be a matter of software updates. Possibly you also need a 5G enabled SIM from your provider and/or having it enabled for your contract.

@Ignacio Contreras Currently 5G is limited to a few places in the world. How fast do you think this technology will be adopted across countries and is any part of the world facing a specific hurdle to adopt 5G in 2020?

We were broadly working on 2G networks until around early 2010-11. Post which we got 3G and within a few years we got 4G networks. And now we have 5G networks.

How long do you reckon would 5G be the prime network choice, and what one difference do you think would be seen in contrast to the past networks?

    Dear Team,

    My question would be : @Zach X. @Sat K and @Ignacio Contreras.

In India we are not expecting 5G, but with oneplus we are 5G ready. Could you please update us having 5G chip-set in oneplus would improve our calling network (quality), mobile internet bandwidth even if we are on 4G network in India?

    Kind regards,

    Hi! @Sat K and @@Ignacio Contreras
What are the biggest changes you will see happening in our current way of interacting with devices (cellphones, cars, etc.) once 5G becomes the new standard?
    Best regards.

    Hi @Sat K
The 5G fiber and cable rollout has been delayed the world over - we were expecting base building and cabling to be lead by China and SEA, but that is progressing very slowly. The current pandemic would probably exacerbate the situation further. Realistically, what is the timeline of general adoption that you think is possible?
