Amazon have just pushed back my pre-order delivery from today to 20 August. Anyone else been disappointed by this? I only ordered from Amazon as they were offering a GBP30 discount for Prime members - Doh.

Yeah mine's pushed back to 15th of August. We must all be in a queue based on when we pre ordered....
Gutted though, and pretty poor for them to keep allowing preorders if they didn't have stock

Yeah same just received it the email. Mine says 22nd. Should have ordered from John Lewis when they had the £30 discount.

Anyway maybe one or two more software updates before we receive it won't be a bad thing.

15th here. Looks like OnePlus didn't expect the demand and as a result it's delayed on OnePlus' site by two days and everyone's got a 2-3 week additional wait.

Pretty disastrous PR for a launch to be honest; they're wanting to get their name up their with the big boys and letting everyone down doesn't really contribute to that.

Same here on Amazon.it, ordered on the 21st, delayed to August 18th. They had two weeks to organize the preorders, which had a limited stock too, and couldn't fulfill them. To me it seems like they simply moved the stocks from Amazon to the official store, to prioritize it. Really bad move.

Yeah, this preorder is for my wife but I'd been considering it too - now part of me is leaning towards the Nexus 4a and away from OnePlus. My last OnePlus was the 3, so this could've been me coming back to the brand.
    Now... it is very unlikely.

Same here in Germany. Just received an E-Mail from Amazon. Pre-ordered on 25st, delayed to August 19th expected ;-(.

I’m on the OP3, but after all the hardware issues, reported over here and on reddit, I cancelled my amazon preorder.
Gonna get the pixel 4a 4a-5G when they launch instead

    Same here in Austria.

First the subpar or even faulty OLED Screens, now this...

Or was it on purpose that people think the phone comes before the Pixel 4a...

It seems some people are getting their OnePlus Nords earlier than expected. Some Nords have been sent out today and yesterday by Amazon Germany. While the expected date was the 18th and later. At least here in Germany.

I've been waiting for the OP Nord since July 21st, but unfortunately Amazon Italy notice me yesterday the delay of the dispatch.. It's hard to understand why after the pre-order OnePlus was not able to manage the backlog of the orders.
Today on Instagram the Nord team apologize for the delay promising to speed up the shipments during the next days.
    On your side any updates?

You'd think that given Amazon was a delivery/sales partner OP would have good feedback on the numbers of preorders needed to fullfill. Telling people on delivery day that the device that has been hyped for months isn't coming for weeks yet is rude good demand or not, high demand should have been anticipated.

Having been lucky enough to get my Nord from John Lewis on Saturday I'd personally be reluctant to buy a phone with a lesser processor than the 765 SoC, as the Nord doesn't seem that much faster than my OP3 so I sense a Pixel 4a might feel a step backwards.

But who's fault is it if Amazon took more orders than they could fulfil? Surely Amazon should have made sure OP could deliver all the phones that they were accepting orders for? John Lewis took the phone off sale when they ran out of stock.

It's a good question and OP sales/fullfillment bods should be looking at it and finding out what has gone wrong and why.

Same thing did Amazon. The 8/128 versions went out of stock after 2 days, the 12/256 ones went out of stock some time later, so Amazon did have a stock limit.

Reviews on the 4a with the SD730G appear mostly positive. I do agree though that a 765G would be better, which many believe the 4a 5G will have 🙂
