I have this picture as my lock screen wallpaper. the blacks appear grey on my lock screen. if this normal? but blacks on home screen looks fine. when I turn on the screen the black kinda shifts from black to grey.

I think there's always been a small tint on the lockscreen, from the accent colour? Although correct me if I'm wrong

yeah I mean I just got paranoid that something was wrong, before this wallpaper i had a picture with more colors so I didn't really think of the colors being a bit washed out. but now with a black one it really made a difference. my accent color is magenta so it can't be that. perhaps everything is as it should be. but if the greyish tint was removed my lock screen would look much better

Do one thing. If you have any notifications at lockscreen, try swiping up to pin/password entering screen. It should be clear then, with no tint

Edit: My bad. Swipe down to expand a notification. The tint reduces then

Idk, I've always noticed the tint. I like to think it's from the accent colour for slightly blurring out background for better notification visibility
And yeah, I'm on OOS 9.0.2 myself

Oh, gotcha. Yes, it's just the lock screen. There's a slight grey tint my design, nothing to worry about.

I just realized something. it's probably good that there is a grey tint. the lock screen clock would not be fully visible if let's say in my case the white flower is a bit under the numbers that's probably why there is a tint.

yeah it's always visible. you can try for your self. set a pitch black wallpaper on lock screen and home screen. you should see a difference.

for me the blacks are still pure blacks. perhaps it has to do with the wallpaper app you're using?

I downloaded the picture in my first post from wallhaven. I'm using OnePlus launcher. maybe it is while setting the lock screen wallpaper with the OnePlus launcher that makes it tinted

no it just makes the whole picture color lighter. in night mode it is a more red color since night mode makes the screen more red.

without night mode it's like the exposure is turned up a bit.
