    Okay .. this happened last sunday ..so i rooted .. booted up to a TWRP recovery .. all was fine .. then .. tried to install Paranoid Android - got the ROM from their website (pa_bacon-4.45-20140729.zip) - it got stuck on the boot animation .. shut down the fone .. don't remember exactly what I did because it was a week ago (yup, phone has been sitting idle for the past week) .. now I can get into fastboot - but when I enter a command "device not found" .. I can get into TWRP but when I try to sideload i get "device not found" ..

    so .. I'm thinking I'm bricked? Or .. are there any other options? or am i just screwed?

    AND - anyone else have problems with PA getting stuck at bootanimation?

    I feel like my post was insightful. I encouraged him to accept the reality of the situation and instead of investing more time and resources into a fruitless endeavor he should regroup and focus on getting a new device.

    well well well .. I did another wipe .. and PA booted up .. just have to install GApps and I'm good .. whoa ..

    You're not bricked. A hard-bricked phone doesn't even turn on. Backup your data using TWRP, pull it to your computer using ADB, wipe /system, flash stock, root, restore data.

    If wiping /system doesn't work, backup our SDCARD and wipe Internal Storage and /data.
