    Depending on device

Might fix it via wiping in recovery too and then use the rollback package found in the Developer Preview

Thanks! I'll wait until tomorrow to see if they can possibly fix the issue on their side since it seems multiple people are now having this issue. If not, I'll give it a try.

edit: Also no, the full wipe does not help. As soon as the device has an internet connection it goes into a boot loop. Two other users (so far) confirmed the same issue.

I had the exact same experience on OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8pro last night.
I managed to erase everything in factory recovery, and install rollback 10. Android (without turning WiFi on) on 8pro. Now it works. But the OnePlus 8 is 2010 (Chinese) so it doesn't accept any rollback ROM.
    Any ideas?

I downloaded the downgrade ROM on computer and transferred it to OnePlus 8 pro over USB flash . Just don't activate WiFi and don't register Google in setup.

How can I downgrade though? I'm stuck on the setup screen. There is no Skip option in the WiFi, they force it.

If it is a OnePlus 8 pro you can enable WiFi but don't register Google and don't allow any registrations (pin, screenlock etc). Take out SIM card

Hey one plus I'm big fan I'm buying every gen of your new phones but I have stopped after OnePlus 6 I don't as I'm software guy rather than just hardware I'm seeing a new trend in your phone's just latest chip little bit camera that's it but prices are jumping like rocket I really wanna see some software improvements too i have secondary iOS phone I wanna suggest you one software termeed as guided access in iOS what it's does that u can turn on guided access while particular app and to come out of that app you need to put password that's the best feature I have seen it comes really handy when you hand over your phone to others for some work I hope you take this as consideration thank you always OnePlus lover[e]2764[/e]️

I can't, as soon as I connect to any WiFi, the phone goes into a boot loop, which is once again, the same issue others are having.

Hey I also experienced this last night too. I also ended up using the msm tool. Seems a bit of a coincidence that its happened to more the one person around the same time. Did you all also happen to be on version 1?

Honestly, I'm not sure - I downloaded whatever was linked here: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/android-11-beta-developer-preview-for-oneplus-8-series.1233995/ about 2 weeks ago. I mostly wanted to get dual sim working so I did not pay attention to the version at the time.

Nice to see development of android 11 on 8 series. Very glitchy system with lot of UI elements out of place and apps misbehaving so back to stable again.

Liked the new font used in android 11 that was the one thing I liked the most. Hoping next beta is will be better.

Another OnePlus fail. Does not matter if it is developer preview or not, when it does not boot, it is a brick. Had to use unbrick tool to get it back to work on Android 10.

As far as I know it's Google components that is updated during the setup. It's always good to expect the unexpected and be prepared to wipe via adb

Currently users is suffering by bootloops that does not even recover with a wipe... Don't know if that applies to both DP1 and DP2
