    Hello everyone,

OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are now getting Android 11 Developer Preview 2!!

As the name suggests, this build of Android 11 is best suited for developers and other early adopters, as it is still in an early stage of development. That said, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little to no experience in software development or flashing custom ROMs, or if you expect to use the device as a daily driver. Proceed at your own RISK!

    Known Issues
    1. All data will be cleared while flashing the build
    2. Certain UI screens look less than desirable
    3. Some camera functions are not available
    4. Some apps may not function as expected
    5. System stability issues
    Caution!
You should understand there is a risk of BRICKING your phone, read the instructions carefully and be 100% sure of what you are doing. Please always backup your important data before flashing.

    Please note:
    1. These instructions are only for the OnePlus 8 series. Please make sure the battery level is above 30% and a minimum 3GB of storage space is available.
    2. The OnePlus 8 series carrier devices (TMO/VZW) aren't compatible with the Developer Preview builds.
MP version = Stable official version
DP version = Developer Preview version
OBT Version = Open Beta version

Freshly reverted back to Android 10 yesterday and now this ^^

Edit: I flashed it, here's what I have found so far.

Not many new things. Some bugs fixed, some new ones added.

    Camera
    • small UI updates (Google Lens icon moved, fixed minor issues with the shutter button)
    • adjusted Photochrome has been added
    • with HDR disabled, the camera crashes. Keep it enabled to prevent camera crashes.
    • 3 of the photo filters introduced in DP1 do have names now (or they might be additional filters added in DP2)
    • added Video Night Mode to the camera (I guess it's night mode? There is no text explaining it). It's 2PM right now, so there's no night to check this out with.
    • added Video Portrait Mode to the camera

    System Settings

    • Some UI fixes for QHD+ setting (DP1 had the clock displayed wrongly etc.)
    • There are new bugs in the way notifications and QS are displayed, so I guess there will be news regarding the UI of these elements soon (DP3?)
    • Bubble notification settings do work now (e.g. Facebook Messenger and Messages)
    • Noto Sans is now the default font
    • OnePlus Slate has been renamed to OnePlus State LOL
    • Performance Mode has been removed from battery settings
    • Hiding the navigation bar works properly now
    Game Space
    • new section with screenshots and screen recordings from your games

Other than that, no new things that I saw so far.
The 2 new video modes might or might not be cool, depends on how much you love capturing video.
The System Settings updates are welcome changes and the small new animations and bugs make me excited for possible UI updates in the future.
OnePlus apps still look all effed up, do not follow system theme and if they do, there's UI issues everywhere. Nothing seems to have changed here compared to DP1.
    June security update.

If you are on DP1 already, update to DP2. If you think about flashing it - it's not necessary. I'll return back to Stable soon, just not worth the hassle right now.

    Nice! Let's try again!
But a question, aren't those, the same main bugs that were on DP1?
