    Hello everyone,

Today, we are glad to announce that OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro users are now able to try out the Android 11 Developer Preview 3 and get a first look at the refreshed design and features of OxygenOS 11.

This Developer Preview build is designed for our most technically-inclined community members to test out the new features and share feedback directly with us. As this is still in an early stage of development, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little to no experience in software development or flashing custom ROMs, or if you expect to use the device as a daily driver. As always, proceed at your own RISK! For more information about the Android 11 Developer Preview Program, please visit https://www.oneplus.com/os/developer-preview/android11.

Key updates (please refer to the change log for the full list):
    • New visual design (including Weather app, Launcher, Gallery, Notes)
    • New layout for more comfortable and convenient one-handed operation
    • Always-on display function, including 11 new clock styles
    • Live wallpaper that changes according to the time of day
    • New OnePlus Sans font that improves readability
    • Optimized Dark Mode, including the ability to automatically turn on and off and a shortcut in Quick Settings
    • 3 new Zen Mode themes, more timing options, and new Group feature to let you experience Zen Mode with your friends
    • New Gallery function that automatically creates a weekly story based on your photos and videos
    Known Issues
    1. Some third-party applications may not function as expected
    2. System stability issues
    3. Network stability issues in some scenarios
    Caution!
You should understand there is a risk of BRICKING your phone, read the instructions carefully and be 100% sure of what you are doing. Please always backup your important data before flashing and disable the OEM unlocking to avoid unnecessary Issues.

    Please note:
    1. These instructions are only for the OnePlus 8 series. Please make sure the battery level is above 30% and a minimum 3GB of storage space is available.
    2. The OnePlus 8 series carrier devices (TMO/VZW) aren't compatible with the Developer Preview builds.

    As always:

    Hi guys,
since many people liked the written detailed rollback guide when we had the Android 10/Q Preview last year, let's just throw this one in for 2020 as well! :)

Sir, how do I go back to Android 10?

    Prerequisites
    • internet connection
    Video guide

I prepared a video guide for this, as many people loved the written one. However, it did not look good with the screenshots. So, here is the guide:

    Written guide

    A:
Take a backup of your stuff. Everything will be erased once you flash the rollback build, so do a backup of your nudes before doing anything.

B: Download the rollback build that fits your device.
If you are opening this from the Community app, you will get a white screen when you tap a link. On that white screen, tap the three dot menu and choose "Open in browser".
This will start to automatically download your file.

C: Rename the file. (The reason for this is that the rollback build, for some reason, is downloaded as a JAR file, while the updater needs it to be a simple ZIP file.)
Go to the File Manager app and navigate to the downloaded rollback build.

For example, if you are a European user with an 8 Pro, you should rename OnePlus8ProOxygen_15.E.17_OTA_017_all_2005100255_downgrade_2d24414aaa814738.zip.jar to OnePlus8ProOxygen_15.E.17_OTA_017_all_2005100255_downgrade_2d24414aaa814738.zip
(Just get rid of the .jar extension)

    D: Move the file.
The official guide says "root" directory. What is this? Well, doesn't have anything to do with rooting your device.
It's just the thing that you see when you open the File Manager first.

    E: Flash the rollback build.
Follow these steps to get there. Your last chance to backup all your stuff, just saying! ;)
    • Settings
    • System
    • System updates
    • Gear icon (upper right corner)
    • Local upgrade
    • Tap the file

Thanks for reading, hope I could help a person or two.

    Finally!
So this means installing this version will wipe EVERYTHING including internal storage?
Or just normal wipe of system and app data?
