Dude read properly what I have written. I never said in DP2 they said about faster stable update. I already told you when they announced that merger they told that this merger will deliver faster update to the OnePlus devices, but the irony is that it's taking more time than before. If you recall OnePlus 8 and 8 pro they got Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11 back in October 2020, but what is happening this year with OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro you know it very well.

The new OS will be released sometime next year when the OP10 is released. That's what they're more than likely referring to.

True OxygenOS 11 was released with OnePlus 8T last year, which provided even more faster update than what you and your team is claiming or convince us about the merger.
Artemeus even Samsung, IQOO has started rolling out Stable Android 12 update and we have to wait till next year till the launch of OnePlus 10 😂.
Actually u should try to be more convincing.

After all this can u say that , we're actually getting OxygenOS 😂. Try to be more convincing or frank to your customers. Rather than making creative stories/threads from your OnePlus officials accounts.

Dude, he has a life outside this forum too you know... Furthermore, the powers that be (meaning Pete, nobody else) said OxygenOS would stay the main OS, it doesn't matter if it look like Color OS, One UI or whatever, if they label it OxygenOS it's Oxygen OS. Now you can keep banging on about how it looks like Color OS all you want but the deed is done, accept it and move on because nothing you or anyone says will change that.🤷

Oh, i didn't mean they can't change, i meant they won't. That became pretty clear looking at the first beta's of Oxygen OS12.
That's what Pete said. That's why is said it doesn't matter what it looks like, if he calls it OxygenOS, it's Oxygen OS12, even if it's almost the same as ColorOS.
Again, it's Pete who said that. As of now there's still some minor differences between the 2. Not much, but enough not to call it pure ColorOS. This might change next year with the new unified OS though.

It has little to do with supporting mate, i'm just being realistic. Whether we like it or not, it is what it is, and as i already said the decision has been made and they won't change that.🤷 I just accepted it and moved on. And once my phone starts to give out and i don't like the whole unified OS thing i'll probably switch to another brand, but i won't know that until i've tried it (tried beta and it did grow on me but that's not the unified OS) so i'll cross that bridge when i get there.

I tried to apply "oxygen12" to oneplus9pro and tried to do a local upgrade.
but it said "An older version of the package than the current system has been selected. To avoid startup errors, downgrading is not allowed".

    The current version is OXYGEN11.2.10.10.LE15DA
