I completely agree with you, but we are looking for a solution to get out of this issue

This is totally barebones and probably just as good as an android 12 GSI. I didn't expect them to skin it but there are some minor things that shouldn't be there.

The silent button shouldn't be there (unless the alert slider doesn't work) and the volume panel should be on left like the volume buttons.

It looks like they released it just for the sake of having some sort of release candidate. Can you even make phone calls on this? What about taking basic photos?

I totally agree with. They should've waited, it's more of a downgade than an upgrade at this point (without saying that we can't all pass the setup properly).

They're suspended because we cannot pass the google setup so the beta is actually not working for now. Our phones are blocked at the "copy data" screen setup.

Thanks for the quick reaction. Good to see that you're monitoring it closely. How about hiding the download links behind a little quiz to filter out the users that shouldn't flash this?

That won't fix the issue, the OS is installed and you cannot set it up, currently we all have bricks.

No one should flash this, it's VERY much broken. This isn't user error I can assure you. I've been flashing phones for years and being fair this was a standard install, not even a difficult flash, just the setup process is broken.

Apparently the A12 Dev Preview for OnePlus 9 series is just literally ColorOS...

Currently downloading tools to get myself back to A11, shocking that OnePlus would release this. I get they put disclaimers in, but this is fundamentally broken, shouldn't have been released at all.

This is a developer preview, it's more like an alpha than a beta, look at the screenshots, it's not even Oxygen OS yet.

Not really, didn't you check the screenshots?
This developer preview is exactly like the one on the Pixels and even the volume slider is on the wrong side, it should be on the left side for OnePlus phones.
    Where do you see ColorOS?

This is a developer preview not a beta. Do yes, that's equivalent to an alpha 🤷‍♂️

Even then a developer preview is still better than what my device is promised and mine is newer than most of those that will probably get it.
