How it is slow when most devices using the same SoC are still running Android 10?

This post is about Android 12. Please respect the user that created it and those that actually want to discuss the thread's topic. If you want to share your views on this matter, you're more than welcome. If not, I would kindly invite you to participate in other threads that are about Android 11, rather than this one.

Slow in terms of updating the flagship. FYI you have paid for phone as a whole and not just for hardware. Being on Android 10 is not big of a deal as most flagship are on 10 anyways

Dear god, it's not enough to have the beta thread for 7t series being flooded with post about A12 being "out" already and now you had to go and make a whole thread about it. 😉

The shame is that I purchased this phone so as to receive Android updates faster than Samsung, but the s10 (released around the same time as the OnePlus 7 Pro) has received Android 11 BEFORE OnePlus. That is an enormous disappointment and quite shameful. OnePlus needs to better organize their team in order to release updates faster and more consistently to keep their customers. I don't understand how you don't understand that!

OnePlus never promised they would be faster in updates than samsung. I understand a lot better than you do.
I know the mess created by OnePlus 6 users when a buggy update was released.

Have you ever used a Pixel device before?

Both my Pixel 2xl and my Pixel 3xl have both experienced bugs and issues at some point. That's the nature of software, it's rarely ever going to be completely "bug" free.

The active edge feature on my 3xl broke within weeks of purchase (not that I ever used it much), and can only ever temporarily fix it for a short while. Just one of the many software related issues on the supposedly (according to those who never use them), bug free Google Pixel line.

You are clearly extremely naiive. Firstly, you have absolutely no idea who I am and thus cannot say that you understand anything better than I do. Secondly, OnePlus promised to release OxygenOS 11 for the OnePlus 7 series in the December of 2020 but failed to do so. My point--as well as those mentioned by other upset OnePlus 7 series owners--still stands as it is very much a shame that the OnePlus team has been unable to supply timely updates for their older devices. I suggest that next time your reconsider your insults as others with OnePlus 7 series devices are very disappointed and dissatisfied with OnePlus's neglect for timely updates. It is very unproductive to pester disgruntled customers. Have a good day.
