and no, no one will question them, and they are not struggling. you know why? because this is a three year phone. and this is a company trying to support a phone they're not going to earn money on anymore. they are going out of their way, to deliver updates, to a phone that has got 3 major Android version updates. their new phones are selling well, and they have just became one of the top 5 premium smartphone sellers. so just please, go get a life, or buy a new smartphone or go buy other brands if you think one plus is 'cheating' on you.

My wives oneplus 3T was on open beta Android 8
I dont wanna wipe data and install latest beta. But let me know if future OTA wil be available without wiping data to get android 9

Better all have a clean installation before reporting bugs. And I hope all here those complain does not want to lose data and might have backed up and restored if wiped the data. Being a good tester of betas please try to extract max by avoiding all the add-ons which you already have. And probably it's really too early for any assessment of this CB2.

How dare you say the zeroth hot battery draining claims are not assessed properly! They have done hard testing for a whole 10 minutes and hence with most certainty they can claim about the battery performance!

hmm. would do.
I'm on 181206 build, so once I do local upgrade method all my apps, data would be there right ? just like a OTA?

there is no way... even if you move from OB to stable oreo you will lose data... which ever update you do.. you will lose data...

As far as I know it can take few cycles to know the exact behaviour of battery consumption after a fresh installation of a new ROM.

3T Beta 1 Bug:
After Phone is idle for longer, it looses internet connection. A restart is needed then.

Am I the only one? Has it been fixed on beta 2?
