    Hello there,

I hope this message finds you all well.

I'm not sure if can help, but for some reason when I connect my phone via usb type c to my car it just continuously connect for a split second and the disconnects.

I have checked my cable and used different ones and still the same issue. I have also tried another phone (Samsung S20) and this connects fine to my car.

Can anyone provide any assistance as to why I am getting this continuous connect and disconnect when using android auto?

    Thank you :)

    Hi Guys

Can I get in on this issue?

Until last month I had a Xiaomi Mi, it worked well with Android Auto until June when it started to continually disconnect.
Tried changing cables and changing the auxiliary unput unit on my car but to no avail.

Still have the same issue with my new Nord hardset.

Looking around the net, it seems that this has become a common issue, and Samsung have updated their OS to fix the issue, so it looks like there is something in Android Auto that isn't co-operating with various OS's.

Not sure why Google keep messing around with things that work perfectly well, especially when so many car head units now rely on Android Auto for SatNav and Entertainment rather than having systems inbuilt.
Bluetooth does not provide the functionality and also plays really quietly, even when you override the noise suppression in Developer Options.

If there is a cure, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Kev

    Hi,

I have the same issue going on with OnePlus 9. This is very inconvenient and honestly risky because it's distracting while driving. Please share a solution to this. I have tried resetting the Network settings, device.. nothing worked.

    Hi Guys,
I am using One Plus 9 and I haven't tried the android auto function yet but I am having issues with type C connection with headphones. The headphone doesn't get recognized until I toggle the OTG storage function to ON position, but the headphones automatically gets disconnected after 10 minutes and the audio starts playing thorough the phone speaker. The phone was never idle, I tired reconnecting the headphones but its the same. I have to goto settings-> OTG storage and enable the switch back ON to recognize the headphones, but after 10 minutes it gets disconnected.. repeat!!! This is a bit frustrating, has anyone any idea about this???
PS: same headphones works perfectly with my laptops, motoral phone, S21 Ultra, S20 Ultra, Red Magic phones... these are the ones that I tested on.. extensively.

    Hi,
Is there any Update or Solution to this Problem?
I just got my OnePlus 9 Pro and i have the exact same Problem.

    I tried restarting my Phone.
Connecting the Cable before Starting my Madza 3 (2019)
Deactivated Android Auto and Updated it again.
    Deleting its Data and Cache.
Changing the Default USB Setting to PTP or MIDI or anything available...
I tried changing Bluetooth und Android Auto Setting.

I had no Problems with my Old Phone (Samsung S7).

Here how you get Android Auto working in your car or truck. Go settings erase all personnel data on your cars touch screen and sorry yes you will lose all your settings but this works. Also erase data in Android auto on phone. Once your done plug in cord and do a fresh set up. You will be back up running Android auto. Now if it happens again you will need to repeat these steps. Good luck🤞 this works with all problem phones also including OnePlus phones especially I have a 9 pro.

So, if I understand some of the articles regarding Samsung's OS correctly, they have had to incorporate an Android Auto related fix to their latest update.
Appears that Google have done something to Android Auto, washed their hands of the problem and are leaving the handset manufacturers to clean up the mess.
I guess it's now up to OnePlus to show that they aren't going to let their customers feel less valued than Samsung's customers.
