Previously I was using Android auto with OnePlus 6 with best performance but now I upgraded my mobile to OnePlus 7 it's not supporting Android auto . I cross checked it's working fine with OnePlus 6 but not with OnePlus 7 , so issue is with only OnePlus 7.please suggest

Android Auto works perfectly fine on the OnePlus 7, I use it every day, but it doesn't work if you are on the Android Q developer preview.

Not always necessary, i use a cheap very short cable from Amazon and it works. But if you have problems it is prob. adviced to use the OP cable.

most people who had problems fixed it by trying a new cable. no problems with AA on my 7 pro. even using the new AA interface now. works even better than before.

For me since using Android 10 Beta running Android Auto just slows down phone performance...it becomes sluggish and the UI sometimes becomes useless...it also changes the theme of the phone...

I have a OnePlus 6T and AndroidAuto was working great until I upgraded to Oxygen OS 9.0.17; suddenly when I connect my phone to the car it'll try to launch AndroidAuto on my phone but then the program will immediately close. Sometimes I'll get some error message on the cars Head Unit. If I try to launch the Android Auto app manually it crashes shortly after launch. This was definitely introduced, for me anyways, with the 9.0.17 upgrade (I'm still on Android 9 though, I haven't gone to Android 10 yet).

redNwhite I owe you a beer! The solution you found about deleting user 999 worked!
I'm thinking that my old version I didn't have the Work Profile/Parallel Apps thingbut the 9.0.17 upgrade introduced it to my phone somehow. I did the adb stuff and did find user 999 existed "Parallel Apps" so I went ahead and removed that user "adb shell pm remove-user 999" and now my car and my phone get along once again!
