I have a 2017 Civic as well and it hasn't been working for me for the past few days. Have you been able to find a solution? I tried switching my USB cables and rebooting my phone so far and neither have worked

Hey, I fixed my problem. Go to your cars entertainment unit -> Settings -> Scroll all the way down -> Reset to factory (Something similar) (This will reset all your settings on the unit) Once it restarts, it should be able to detect your phone and start Android Auto. Let me know if this works for you.

Android Auto failing on OnePlus phones seems to be anOxygenOS issue. Installing alternative ROMs (eg. LineageOS, CM, or (the best at present) MSM Xtended cures the problem.
