Android backup on Google drive will not show up on phone during restore.

    So I got my phone back from a repair and I wanted to restore my backup but it only show the device I've been using during the repair a Pixel 3a.

    The backup is still in the drive but I won't show on the phone.

    I tried deleting the Pixel backup but then it just says 'no backup found'

    Maybe unrelated but since I got the phone back google thinks it's a different phone when I look at 'devices' does that maybe have anything to do with it? As far I as know it's the same phone with the same IMEI number.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks for the response! The backup unfortunately is not listed there either, I can only find it in google drive in backups.

    If you go into the Drive App on the phone and click on the 3 bar menu top right then Backups, then your phone name you should see a list of items that you can navigate through

    Yes! I got that far, but you can only see that stuff right?
    There's not a button to restore that with as far as I can see. Just a visual on what's backed up.

    Yes, you may have to contact Google to explain the situation to them. They may have a resolution on how to get your backed up data to restore from Google drive.

    Try to log in to the desired account on the new device and restore the settings. You can also try to restore the settings through the playmarket.
