[Answered] Android Gallery (not Gallery app) shows all cached app images

    1. Use an app like Facebook or Instagram to choose a picture from your phone.
    2. Both apps will open up a Gallery view, which contains not only photos but tons of irrelevant cached images from all your apps, making it hard to find photos.
    You can also see this in File Manager>Images
    In my case I'm even getting the app backgrounds from the McDonald's app I installed!

    I was asked to submit a log and screenshots and they are looking into it. Still an issue at the moment.

    thanks. its something really unexpected though. never happened with the other Android phones I've used before.

    Yeah I know it's weird! I'll try to remember to post back when I know something. My wife complains about this constantly so I am really looking forward to a fix!

    hmm.. I'm thinking it might have something to do with Google photos being installed on our devices. Buti guess we'll have to wait for OnePlus to get back to us.

    I'm having the same problem. when opening gallery from any other app, all cached images are showing.

    Solution from OnePlus support:
    1. Launch OnePlus FileManager > menu > Settings > enable "Show hidden files"
    2. In File Manager, switch to "STORAGE" tab
    3. Enter "Android" >obb. Long tap ".nomedia" file and select "Copy"
    4. Change path to "Android" > data. Then, PASTE the file.
    5. Reboot device and check the problem again.
