So will we be able to trial Oxygen, and then update to 12S. Will there be a simple backup procedure?

Yeah!! Hopefully lollipop also fixes some of the random resets my phone experiences lately. A brand new one would also be nice.. :$

P.s. Will you ever build a oneplus store in Holland? If yeah, ive got a great location for you!

Good on you oneplus. I for one would rather wait for a good stable update than a rushed out one!

Just wanted to add my two cents that I'm excited to give oxygen a try. To be honest, with all of the problems I've seen with lollipop on devices across the board, I can't say I'm at all upset with OnePlus and CM for not meeting their three-month deadline. I think Google is more to blame for pushing code that wasn't quite ready for prime time.
At first, I couldn't wait for Lollipop. I flashed several of the more popular Roms, but could never stick with one for more than a few days. Something would always pop up that would cause me to go back to good old reliable KitKat. I'm not a huge fan of CM (even less so these last few months), but there's definitely something to be said for something that just works the way it should, something I haven't always found with custom ROMs. The last time, I swore I wasn't going anywhere near Lollipop until something official came out.
I doubt CM12s will hold many surprises, but I have high hopes for Oxygen OS. If OnePlus really delivers with a killer os, I'll have no doubt that it was worth the wait. I've never bought a device by the same manufacturer twice in a row, but if oxygen comes through, I'll certainly be a repeat customer.
